"The Influence of Long-term Residential Care on the Aspirations of Children in Care"

Abstract:

Tato práce je zaměřena na zkoumání úrovně aspirace dětí s dlouhodobě nařízenou ústavní výchovou v dětských domovech a porovnávána s dětmi vyrůstajícími v běžném prostředí. Na výzkumné šetření byla použita metoda experimentu. Předpo-kladem je, že vzorek respondentů v dlouhodobé institucionální péči má nejčastěji úroveň aspirace v mezních polohách spektra, tj. vysokou nebo nízkou míru aspirace. Naproti tomu jejich vrstevníci vyrůstající mimo instituce se pohybují nejčastěji ve středních polohách zmiňovaného spektra, tj. normální úroveň aspirace.

Abstract:

The main focus of this thesis is research/examination of the aspiration levels of children who have been in long-term institutional care in children's homes compared with children growing up in normal family settings. Experiment was used as a method of research. Assumption is that the sample of respondents living in long-term institutional care will most likely have the level of aspiration in boundary spectrum level, i.e. high or low aspiration level. On the other hand, their peers growing up away from institutions will be mostly around middle spectrum level, i.e. normal aspiration level.
