Benefits and threats of Bosnia and Herzegovina's accession to the European Union through the lens of foreign trade analysis

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na téma Přínosy a hrozby vstupu Bosny a Hercegoviny do Evropské unie optikou analýzy zahraničního obchodu. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, první částí jsou základní východiska, kde se práce věnuje základním teoriím a definicím mezinárodního obchodu. Poté se zabývá Kodaňskými kritérii a přístupy obou aktérů k vzájemné spolupráci. Empirická část interpretuje základní charakteristiky a ukazatele obou ekonomik v kontextu globálního trhu. V další fázi je již blíže rozebrán mezinárodní obchod mezi Bosnou a Hercegovinou a Evropskou unií, ale i vzájemná obchodní výměna s Českou republikou. Klíčovou část empirické části tvoří analýza zahraničního obchodu mezi Bosnou a Hercegovinou a Evropskou unií, jejíž cílem bylo posoudit komplementaritu a hypotézu přirozených obchodních partnerů.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the Benefits and threats of Bosnia and Herzegovina's accession to the European Union through the lens of foreign trade analysis. The thesis is divided into two parts, the first part is theoretical, where the thesis deals with the basic theories and definitions of international trade. It then discusses the Copenhagen criteria and the approaches of the two actors to mutual cooperation. The empirical part interprets the basic characteristics and indicators of both economies in the context of the global market. In the next phase, international trade between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union, as well as mutual trade with the Czech Republic, is discussed in more detail. The key part of the empirical part is the analysis of foreign trade between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union, which aimed to assess complementarity and the natural trading partners hypothesis.
