Abstract:

Dizertační práce se věnuje výstavbě veřejných budov v oblasti Hlučínska v meziválečném období. Státoprávní změny území způsobily, že vznik mnohých staveb byl podmíněn politikou československého státu, resp. římskokatolické církve. V roce 1920 bylo totiž území po 178-mi letech sounáležitosti s Pruskem připojeno k Československu, což se projevovalo změnami ve všech oblastech života. Výstavba veřejných staveb byla podmíněna jak nutností (území bylo pruskou periiférií a tomu odpovídala i jeho infrastruktura), tak i snahou státu vytvořit architekturu symbolizující nové poměry. Římskokatolická církev v nových podmínkách nechtěla ztratit své pozice, což se projevilo i ve stavební aktivitě. Vzniklá architektura dokládá nejen personální změny v oblasti architektury po roce 1920 a její stylové proměny, ale také řešené typy staveb a typické znaky způsobu výstavby angažováním architektů, působících ve službách státu především v Praze a Brně.

Abstract:

The dissertation deals with the construction of public buildings in the Hlučínsko region, during the interwar period. Due to constitutional territory amendments, emergence of many constructions were affected by policy of the Czechoslovak state, respectively Catholic Church. In 1920, after 178-years of belonging to Prussia, the area was annexed to Czechoslovakia, which affected all areas of life. Construction of public buildings was conditional on both a necessity (territory was a Prussian periphery and so was reflected in its infrastructure) and state efforts to create an architecture symbolizing the new conditions. The Roman Catholic Church in the new conditions did not want to lose their positions, which brought increased construction activity. The resulting architecture evidence not only personnel changes in architecture after 1920 and its style changes, but also types of buildings and typical features, by engaging architects working in service of the state, especially in Prague and Brno.
