The expressional instruments of internet video on Stream.cz

Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce „Výrazové prostředky internetového videa na portálu Stream.cz“ se zaměřuje na internetové video a jeho výrazové prostředky, v kontrastu s klasickou televizí. Identifikace výrazových prostředků probíhá formou případové studie vybraného vzorku videí z první české internetové televize Stream. Práce se skládá z teoretické části zaměřující se na historické ukotvení tématu, kde stručně seznamuje s celosvětovým fenoménem webu 2.0, nástupem postmoderní doby a vizuální kultury, včetně technologických proměn spojených s procesem digitalizace. Stěžejní oblastí práce je celkový popis internetové televize Stream, jejího vzniku a vývoje, nabídky pořadů a uživatelských videí. Navazující praktická část se věnuje Streamu z hlediska jeho obsahu, nejsledovanějším videím a jejich charakteristickým výrazovým prostředkům, které autorka na konci práce detailně popíše. Součástí identifikace těchto výrazových prostředků je také zhodnocení celkových výhod a nevýhod videa na internetu.

Abstract:

The bachelor diploma thesis called ‘The expressional instruments of internet video on Stream.cz‘ is focused on internet video and its expressional instruments differing from classical television. The identification of expressional instruments is composed of a case study based on experimental sample of videos on the first internet television named Stream. The diploma thesis is composed of two main parts. The first theoretical part concerns about historical context, explains the worldwide phenomenon called web 2.0, postmodern era and visual culture including the technological changes associated with the process of digitizing. The main part of this work is a general description of the internet television Stream, its establishment and development, structure, programmes and user videos. The second analytical part follows the Stream in light of its content, most viewed videos and its characteristic expressional instruments, which the author describes in detail at the end of this work. The part of the identification of expressional instruments is a description of internet videos advantages and disadvantages.
