Hungarian political parties in the Slovak party system

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou maďarských politických ve slovenském stranickém systému. Jejím cílem byla komplexní analýza postavení maďarských stran ve slovenském stranickém systému po roce 1989. Práce vychází z teorií konfliktních linií, teorií stranických systémů a typologie etnických a regionálních stran. Součástí je historický exkurz, který upozorňuje na problematické body soužití Slováků a Maďarů. Pro potřeby analýzy jsou v práci nastíněny významné body, které ovlivnily slovenskou politickou scénu, a tedy postavení maďarských stran. Analýza prokázala výrazné změny v postavení maďarských stran ve slovenském stranickém systému.

Abstract:

The thesis is dealing with the issue of hungarian political parties in slovakian party system. The aim was a comprehensive analysis of the positon of hungarian parties in slovakian party system after 1989. The thesis is based on cleavages theories, theories of party systems and on the typology of ethnical and regional parties. Part of the thesis is a historical excursion that highlights the problematic coexistence points between Hungarians and Slovaks. For the purposes of analysis are outlined important points that influenced political scene therefore the position of hungarian parties. Analysis showed significant changes in the position of hungarian parties in slovakian party system.
