Abstract:

Diplomová práce na téma „Vliv krizí na sektory produkující luxusní statky a služby“ se zabývá srovnáním vlivů předešlých světových krizí na tento vymezený tržní segment. Podrobně jsou řešeny finanční krize z let 2007-2009 a krize zapříčiněná globální pandemií nemoci Covid-19.V první kapitole práce představí příčiny, průběh a dopady finanční krize na ekonomiku převážně Spojených států amerických a Evropy s důrazem na analýzu splasknutí cenových bublin na trzích s vybranými aktivy, které vedly k ekonomické recesi. Druhá kapitola prezentuje krizi, která započala v roce 2020 a zapříčinila ji pandemie nového koronaviru, což představuje externí příčinu –⁠ na rozdíl od příčin finanční krize, které byly ryze vnitřní. Podrobně se tato práce věnuje vlivu pandemie na inflaci, která aktuálně představuje největší hrozby pro rozvinuté ekonomiky. Třetí kapitola se podrobně zaobírá luxusními statky, které jsou popsány na základě ekonomické teorie, ale také ze sociologického pohledu. Na reálných datech o výdajích amerických spotřebitelů je prezentována Engelova výdajová křivka. Poslední kapitola obsahuje analýzu kurzů akcií společností, které jsou považovány za producenty luxusních statků a služeb. Za tímto účelem byl vytvořen vlastní akciový index, který je porovnáván s jinými tržními akciovými indexy. Dále jsou v této kapitole analyzovány vybrané finanční ukazatele těchto společností za období zahrnující obě sledované krize. V poslední části této diplomové práce je vypracována fundamentální analýza, jejímž výsledkem je investiční doporučení pro toto odvětví.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis on the topic "The impact of crises on the sectors producing luxury goods and services" deals with a comparison of the effects of previous global crises on this defined market segment. The thesis focuses on financial crisis of 2007-2009 and the crisis caused by the global Covid-19 pandemic. In the first chapter are presented the causes, course and effects of the financial crisis on the economy of primarily the United States and Europe with an emphasis on the analysis of the bursting of price bubbles in selected markets that led to the economic recession. The second chapter presents the crisis that began in 2020 and was caused by the pandemic of the new coronavirus, which is an external cause in contrast to the causes of the financial crisis, which were purely internal. The impact of this pandemic on inflation, which currently poses the greatest threats to the developed economy, is addressed in detail. The third chapter describes luxury goods, from the view of economic theory, and also from a sociological point of view. The Engel spending curve is presented on real US consumer spending data. The last chapter contains an analysis of the share prices of companies that are considered producers of luxury goods and services. For this reason, the special stock index has been created, which is compared with other market indexes. Furthermore, this chapter analyses selected financial indicators of these companies for the period covering both monitored crises. The last part of this thesis is a fundamental analysis, which results in an investment recommendation in this industry.
