Cílem této práce bude analýza narace francouzského historika Julese Micheleta (1798-1874) a konkrétně jeho díla Histoire de France (Dějiny Francie, prvních šest dílů věnovaných středověku). Práce nejprve přiblíží problém povahy historického textu, dobovému kontextu (popis romantické historiografie) a dílu a myšlení Julese Micheleta.
