Práce se v teoretické části zabývá překladatelskými postupy pro tvorbu filmových titulků a metodami jejich kondenzace. Z lexikologického úhlu pohledu se soustředí na substandardní lexikum, jeho výskyt v původním znění ve srovnání s titulky pro neslyšící ve francouzském jazyce.
