The community planning process of the City of Opava and its development in selected areas

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá procesem komunitního plánování, konkrétně ve statutárním města Opava, postupy a fázemi celého procesu. Teoretická část se zaobírá vymezením základních pojmů týkajících se procesu komunitního plánování, charakteristikou jednotlivých fází a postupů. Praktická část se zaměřuje na komunitní plánování sociálních a souvisejících služeb statutárního města Opavy, kde za pomocí obsahové a komparativní analýzy dochází k porovnání a zhodnocení fází a postupů dosud dostupných komunitních plánů města a k vymezení přínosů a problémů celého procesu. Výstupem diplomové práce bude návrh opatření na zefektivnění procesu komunitního plánování statutárního města Opavy.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis covers the topic of community planning process within the statutory city of Opava. It describes the individual phases and procedures of the entire planning process. The theoretical part of the thesis defines keywords related to the community planning process and describes the characteristics of individual phases and practices involved in the process. The practical part is then focused on community planning of services relevant for the statutory city of Opava (including social services). The individual phases and practices of already existing, available community plans of the city are analysed and compared so that the benefits as well as issues of the entire planning process can be defined. The outcome of this diploma thesis will be a set of proposals which would make the process of community planning of statutory city of Opava more efficient.
