The President of the republic and his legalities

Abstract:

ANNOTATION The subject matter of this work is a president and his|her jurisdiction. This work also analyses the status of the president in the constitutional system of the Slovak Republic. The main target was to remark how the president constitutional position has been gradually formed, how the president has gained more and more dominating position in the parliamentary form of the government although in this form of the government the supreme body of the executive power is particularly the government. The first chapter I devoted especially to the institute of the president in the period of the Czechoslovak statehood. The second chapter deals with conditions that must be fulfilled by the person who wants to become a candidate for president, then with president po3ers and the way how the president may be recalled. The third chapter verifies the relation of the president to other state bodies, i.e. to legislative executive and judicial power. The head of the Slovak republic is a president so sufficient attention should be paid to this post. The president represents the state outwards thus representing its nationals and this is the reason that it should not be all the same to anybody who is and will be on the post of the head of the state.

Abstract:

ANOTÁCIA Témou prace je Prezident a jeho právomoc táto práca analyzuje postavenie prezidenta v ústavnom systéme slovenskej republiky. Hlavným cieľom bolo podotknúť ako sa ústavne postavenie prezidenta postupne formovalo, ako prezident v parlamentnej forme vlády získaval čoraz dominantnejšie postavenie hoci v tejto forme vlády je najvyšším orgánom výkonnej moci predovšetkým vláda. V prvej kapitole som sa venovala najmä inštitútu prezidenta v dobe Československej štátnosti. V druhej som sa zaoberala tým, aké podmienky musí spĺňať kandidát, aby sa mohol stať kandidátom na funkciu prezidenta, právomociam prezidenta a ako možno odvolať prezidenta. A v tretej kapitole som zisťovala vzťah prezidenta k ostatným štátnych orgánom a to moci zákonodarnej,výkonnej a súdnej. Hlavou Slovenskej republiky je prezident, preto by sa mu mala venovať dostatočná pozornosť. Prezident reprezentuje štát navonok a tým reprezentuje a jeho občanov, takže nikomu z nás by nemalo byť jedno kto na poste hlavy štátu bude stáť.
