Role of the reserves of ocommercial and central bank

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to analyze the evolution of bank reserves in the Slovak Republic. The work is divided into three parts, contains 19 charts and 5 tables. Introduction of the first chapter is devoted to the basic characteristics of commercial reserves and central banks. Capturing the current state of the reserves in the Slovak Republic is the second chapter. It also discusses the issue of regulation and supervision of the reserves. The third chapter is devoted to the author's own analysis, on the development of reserves in the Slovak Republic. Aim of the analysis of the field was the verification of hypotheses and the financial market situation and development of the Slovak economy had an impact on the development of reserves in the banking system and also to change their roles. The result of the analysis, we concluded that the situation on financial markets and the development of Slovak economy had an impact on the development of all our consideration of reserves in the banking system. International reserves was an exception, where we concluded that the change of Slovak economic situation (joining the euro area) has affected some of their roles in the banking system.

Abstract:

Cieľom diplomovej práce bolo analyzovať vývoj bankových rezerv v Slovenskej republike. Práca je rozdelená do troch kapitol, obsahuje 19 grafov a 5 tabuliek. Úvod prvej kapitoly je venovaný základnej charakteristike rezerv komerčných a centrálnych bánk. Zachytenie súčasného stavu systému rezerv v Slovenskej republike je predmetom druhej kapitoly. Zároveň rozoberá i problematiku regulácie a dohľadu nad systémom rezerv. Tretia kapitola je venovaná vlastnej analýze autora, týkajúcej sa vývoja systému rezerv v podmienkach Slovenskej republiky. Cieľom analýzy riešenej problematiky bolo overenie stanovených hypotéz, či situácia na finančnom trhu a vývoj Slovenskej ekonomiky mali vplyv na vývoj rezerv v bankovom systéme a zároveň na zmenu ich úloh. Výsledkom analýzy sme dospeli k záveru že situácia na finančnom trhu a vývoj Slovenskej ekonomiky mali vplyv na vývoj všetkých nami skúmaných rezerv v bankovom systéme. Výnimku tvorili devízové rezervy, pri ktorých sme dospeli k záveru, že zmena slovenskej ekonomickej situácie (vstup do eurozóny) ovplyvnila niektoré ich úlohy v bankovom systéme.
