Podnikatelské prostředí pro odvětví cestovního ruchu na Kypru

Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce identifikuje současné trendy ve vývoji kyperského cestovního ruchu a významná vládní opatření, která v posledním desetiletí formovala podnikatelské prostředí pro turistický průmysl v kyperské ekonomice. Kromě toho jsem se pokusila identifikovat potenciál Kypru; analyzovat současná vládní opatření, která byla uplatněna nebo jsou v procesu vývoje, a poskytnout návrhy na zlepšení image země a propagaci Kypru jako turistické destinace. Roční a časové řady údajů o trendu a vývoji kyperského cestovního ruchu a podnikatelského prostředí z hlediska růstu cestovního ruchu, rozvoje infrastruktury, cenové hladiny, podílu cestovního ruchu na hrubém domácím produktu mezi třemi významnými turistickými zeměmi (např. Španělsko, Kypr a Řecko), příspěvek cestovního ruchu k zaměstnanosti a podíl příjmů z mezinárodního cestovního ruchu na vývoz jsou shromažďovány z výroční zprávy Světové banky a analyzovány pomocí analýzy časových řad. Výsledek ukazuje, že existuje celkově pozitivní trend ve vývoji kyperského cestovního ruchu a podnikatelského prostředí z hlediska růstu cestovního ruchu, rozvoje infrastruktury, cenové úrovně. Bylo zjištěno, že ve vývoji kyperského cestovního ruchu je celkově klesající trend, pokud jde o příspěvek cestovního ruchu k zaměstnanosti a podíl příjmu mezinárodního cestovního ruchu na vývoz. Při srovnání vývoje cestovního ruchu ve třech turistických zemích (např. Kypr, Španělsko a Řecko) výsledek ukazuje, že ve vývoji podílu cestovního ruchu na hrubém domácím produktu jde celkově nahoru. Výsledek také potvrdil několik potenciálních rizik kyperské závislosti na turistickém sektoru ekonomiky, jako je zvýšení životních nákladů, celkové náklady na infrastrukturu, zahraniční vlastnictví a management a ekonomické vazby.

Abstract:

The thesis or research study aims to identify current trends in the development of the Cyprus tourism and significant government measures that have shaped the business environment for the tourism industry in the Cyprus economy over the last decade. In addition, the study also seeks to identify Cyprus’ potential; analyse current governmental measures that have been applied or are in the process of development and provide solid and valid suggestions to improve the country’s im-age and promote Cyprus as a tourist destination. Annual and times series data on the trend and development of the Cyprus tourism and the business environment in terms of the tourism growth, infrastruc-tural development, price level, share of tourism contribution to the gross domestic product among three important tourist countries (e.g., Spain, Cyprus and Greece), the tourism contribution to the employment and the share of international tourism receipt to export are collected from the world bank annual report and analyse us-ing the time series analysis. The result shows that there is overall positive trend in the development in the Cyprus tourism and business environment in terms of tourism growth, infrastructural development, price level. However, the result also found that there is an overall downward trend in the development in the Cyprus tourism in term of the tourism contribution to the employment and the share of international tourism receipt to export. In the comparison of the development of tourism across the three tourist countries (e.g., Cyprus, Spain and Greece), result shows that overall upwards in the development of share of tourism contribution to the gross domestic product. Result also confirmed the several potential risks of Cyprus reliance on the tourism sector of the economy as increase in cost of living, the overall cost of infrastructure, the foreign ownership and management and the economic linkages.
