Intergenerational meetings of seniors and preschool children

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá mezigeneračním setkáváním mezi seniory a předškolními dětmi. Hlavním cílem práce je objasnit, jak probíhají mezigenerační setkávání mezi seniory a předškolními dětmi. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí – teoretické a empirické. V teoretické části, která je rozdělena do tří kapitol, vymezuji základní pojmy, které se týkají zkoumaného jevu. V první kapitole se zabývám mezigeneračními programy, ve druhé jednotlivými účastníky mezigeneračních setkávání mezi seniory a předškolními dětmi a ve třetí kapitole se věnuji obecně prospěšné společnosti Mezi námi a jejímu projektu „Povídej“, který je zacílen na mezigenerační setkávání těchto dvou skupin. V empirické části práce byl pomocí zúčastněného pozorování, polostrukturovaných rozhovorů a analýzy dokumentů organizace proveden kvalitativní výzkum zacílený na zodpovězení výzkumných otázek.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis deals with an intergenerational meeting of elderly citizens and preschool-age children. A main aim of this thesis is to clarify how the intergenerational meeting of elderly citizens and preschool-age children take place. The thesis is divided into two parts – a theoretic and empiric. In theoretic part which is divided into three chapters, I determine basic terms related to the researched phenomenon. In the first chapter I deal with the intergenerational programmes, in the second chapter with the individual participants of intergenerational meetings of elderly citizens and preschool-age children and finally the third chapter is devoted to a generally beneficial organization “Mezi námi´” and to its project “Povídej” which is directed at the intergenerational meeting of these two groups. In the empirical part of thesis, the research concentrated on answering the researched questions was carried out by participant observation a semi-structured interviews and by an analysis of the document of the organization.
