A topic: a second life of a castle Bezdez in the nineteenth and twentieth century

Abstract:

Práce pojednává o stavebním a historickém vývoji hradu v 19. a 20. století a jeho odrazu v krásném umění. Další část se zabývá prezentací a návštěvností Bezdězu, a také popisuje význam této památky v rámci celého Libereckého kraje. Historie hradu byla vždy popisována jen do roku 1785, kdy byl zrušen bezdězský klášter a hrad začal chátrat. Další informace byly velice strohé a autoři různých publikací a průvodců opomíjeli 19. století, kde se rozepsali jen návštěvách básníka Karla Hynka Máchy a o Táboru lidu, který se konal pod hradem v roce 1868. Hrad získal v roce 1932 od posledního šlechtického majitele Karla Arnošta z Valdštejna a Vartemberka Klub československých turistů, což je důležité kvůli provedení stavebních oprav. Cílem této práce je podat ucelený přehled o opravách a velkých rekonstrukcích hradu, ale také zobrazování hradu v různých časových obdobích s pomocí rozdílných uměleckých technik jako jsou mědiryty, dřevoryty, knižní malba a oleje na plátně. Hrad Bezděz je stále díky ojedinělým architektonickým prvkům významnou kulturní památkou v rámci celé střední Evropy, a proto jsem chtěl zdokumentovat přínos v minulých dvou staletích. Určitě nejsou zapomenuty romantické ideály a představy s jakými hrad navštěvoval v 19. století Karel Hynek Mácha. Bezděz má dobrou základnu, ať již mluvíme o kameni znělci, z něhož byl vybudován, nebo se zaměříme na výjimečný turistický cíl v Máchově kraji a v celých severních Čechách.

Abstract:

Thesis deals with the construction and development of the historic castle in the 19th and 20th centuries and its reflection in a beautiful art. Another section deals with presentations and attendance Bezděz, and also describes the importance of this monument throughout the Liberec region. Its history has always been described only in 1785, when it was abolished Bezdězská monastery and castle began to decay. Further information was very austere and authors of various books and guides neglected 19th century, which expanded by only visiting poet Karla Hynka Macha and gatherings of people held under the castle in 1868. The castle was awarded in 1932 by the last aristocratic owner of Karla Arnošta Waldstein Wartenberg and Czechoslovak Club of tourists, which is important for the execution of the repairs. The aim of this work is to give a comprehensive overview of major repair and reconstruction of the castle, but also displaying the castle at different times using different artistic techniques like copperplate engravings, woodcuts, book painting and oil on canvas. Castle Bezděz is still, thanks to a unique architectural elements important cultural monument in the whole of Central Europe, and I wanted to document the contribution of the past two centuries. Certainly not forgotten romantic ideals and ideas with which visited the castle in the 19th century Karel Hynek Macha. Bezděz has a good base, whether we're talking about a rock theme song from which it was built, or we focus on exceptional tourist destination Macha in the region and throughout northern Bohemia.
