Orthopaedic intervention in adult flat foot treatment from the perspective of a physiotherapist

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce je problematika léčby podélného plochonoží u dospělých se zaměřením na ortopedickou intervenci. Cílem práce bylo vytvořit přehled možností terapie podélného plochonoží u dospělých z pohledu fyzioterapeuta a zjistit, jaká je volba terapie ze strany lékařů. Teoretická část je zaměřena na podélně plochou nohu a jsou v ní uvedeny možnosti její léčby. V praktické části byla zvolena metoda anketního šetření, kterého se zúčastnilo 28 lékařů se specializací v oboru ortopedie. Výsledky šetření byly následně vyhodnoceny v diskuzi. Anketní šetření ukázalo, že respondenty indikovaná terapie převážně koresponduje s doporučovanou léčbou plochonoží uváděnou v odborné literatuře, pouze rehabilitační léčba bývá respondenty často opomíjena.

Abstract:

The topic of this Bachelor thesis is issues of an adult flat foot treatment with focus on the orthopaedic intervention. The goal of the thesis was to create an overview of possibilities in adult flat foot therapy from the perspective of a physiotherapist and to discover, what is the choice of the therapy from the side of physicians. The theoretical part is focused on a flat food and it presents possibilities of its treatment. In the practical part a method of survey, in which 28 physicians with an orthopaedic specialization took part, was chosen. The results of the survey were subsequently evaluated in a discussion. The survey demonstrated that a therapy indicated by respondents mostly corresponds with a recommended flat foot treatment presented in a professional literature, nevertheless rehabilitation treatment is often ignored by respondents.
