A Comparative Study of English, German and Czech Idioms: Fairy Tales of Brothers Grimm
Abstract:
The submitted PhDr. dissertation focuses on idioms/phrasemes (I/P) in the fairy tales by the Grimm brothers in German, English and Czech. The main task lies in the verification whether the key constituent (e.g. heart, nose) will be expressed in all languages compared. Tématem předložené rigorózní práce jsou idiomy/frazémy (I/F) v pohádkách bratří Grimmů v němčině, angličtině a češtině. Budeme zkoumat, zda byl zanechán klíčový komponent (např. srdce, nos) ve všech třech jazycích. V případě, že I/F není přeložen pomocí klíčového komponentu, nabídneme řešení obsahující klíčový komponent, tedy za předpokladu, že existuje, přičemž vodící nitkou nám bude SČFI F. Čermáka …more
