Rwanda bývá v současnosti mnohými odborníky považována za neúspěch mírových misí OSN. Za tímto neúspěchem stojí celá řada příčin, mimo jiné bývá viněn právě nevhodný mandát misí. Může tedy za neúspěchem OSN zamezit konfliktu a genocidě právě mandát? Abstract:
Rwanda is regarded by many contemporary scholars as a failure of the UN peacekeeping missions. This failure has a number of causes; among other things, it is often blamed on the mission’s inadequate mandate. Can the mandate thus be responsible for the UN’s failure to prevent the outbreak of the conflict and genocide?
