Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá zkoumáním přístupů k tématice dětství v románech Charlese Dickense. Konkrétně jsou analyzovány romány Oliver Twist, David Copperfield a Nadějné vyhlídky. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. První část práce se zabývá historickým kontextem doby viktoriánské Anglie, kdy romány vznikaly, a vývoji konceptu dětství. This bachelor´s thesis examines the approaches to childhood in novels by Charles Dickens. The novels Oliver Twist, David Copperfield and Great Expectations are analysed. The thesis contains four chapters. In the first chapter the historical context of Victorian England and the development of the concept of childhood are examined.
