Abstract:

Z lékařského hlediska je transsexualita jako taková prostě poruchou pohlavní identity. Určitou - poměrně specifickou - odchylkou od normálu. Tedy - oprostíme-li se všech eufemismů - jednoduše vadou. Jak ovšem sami sebe vidí a vnímají sami transsexuálové? Připadají si jiní? Nenormální? A proč?! Jaké to je - pro muže - narodit se jako žena? A co to vlastně znamená být muž? Hlavním záměrem a cílem práce je nahlížet problematiku identity v kontextu transsexuality FtM očima transsexuálů FtM a na základě analýzy narativních rozhovorů (s nimi) identifikovat strategie - tedy způsoby chování a jednání, jimiž (sobě i okolí) dokazují, že jsou opravdu muži. Na problematiku (znovu)vybudování mužské identity práce pohlíží pouze ze strany transsexuálů FtM. Zabývá se nejen kontextem, podmínkami a vzájemnými souvislostmi vzniku "nové" identity, ale také interakcemi, k nimž při vytváření této identity dochází.

Abstract:

From the medical point of view the transsexuality is just a gender identity disorder. Some - quite specific - deviation from the norm. So - if we leave all euphemisms - simply the defect. But how do transsexual people see and percieve themselves? Do they feel different (from others)? Abnormal? And why?! How is it - for a man - to be born as a woman? And what does it mean to be a man? The main aim and the goal of this thesis is to view questions of identity in context of transsexuality FtM through the eyes of FtM transsexuals and by the analysis of narrative interviews (with them) to identify the strategy - it means the behaviour and act, which they prove (to themselves and to other people) that they are really men. Issue of (re)construction of male identity is seen only from the point of view of FtM transsexuals. This view includes not only the context, conditions and mutual context and consequence of "new" identity creation but also the interactions that occur during the creating of this identity.
