Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je reflektovat uměleckou tvorbu Jiřího Pokorného v Činoherním studiu Ústí nad Labem, v brněnském HaDivadle a v Divadle Na Zábradlí v Praze. Práce si všímá působení Pokorného jako uměleckého šéfa těchto tří významných českých divadelních scén v kontextu jejich historického vývoje. Dále se podrobněji zabývá tvůrčími východisky souborů v jednotlivých sezónách, kdy divadla umělecky vedl, tedy v letech 1993/1994 až 2003/2004. Jiří Pokorný byl však nejen uměleckým šéfem, ale také kmenovým režisérem ve zmíněných divadlech. Tato činnost představuje nejvýznamnější úsek jeho umělecké tvorby, a proto je tématu režie věnována značná část diplomové práce. Naším cílem bylo pojmenovat charakteristické znaky Pokorného režie na příkladech umělecké spolupráce při tvorbě konkrétních inscenací a objasnit její principy. Během svého působení v Činoherním studiu Jiří Pokorný vstoupil do českého divadelního povědomí jako dramatik. Proto se věnujeme reflexi jeho dramatické tvorby, hrám Taťka střílí góly, Odpočívej v pokoji a Denis. Předmětem našeho zkoumání je také Pokorného teoretické myšlení o současném divadle a dramatu, které uveřejnil v odborném tisku. Jiří Pokorný působí jako režisér v Divadle Na zábradlí doposud a patří k nejosobitějším divadelním tvůrcům současného českého divadla.

Abstract:

The aim of this diploma thesis is to reflect the work of Jiri Pokorny in the Dramatic Studio in Usti nad Labem, the HaTheatre in Brno and the Theatre on the Balustrade in Prague. The thesis focuses on Pokornys functioning as the artistic chief of these three important Czech theatres over the course of their historical development. Moreover, the artistic resources of the theatre ensembles in the individual seasons of his artistic leadership in the period from 1993/1994 to 2003/2004 are dealt with in great detail. Jiri Pokorny was not only the artistic head of the theatres but also their main director. This activity is the most crucial part of his artistic work and therefore, the majority of the thesis is devoted to this aspect. The aim of the thesis is to denominate the idiosyncratic features of Pokornys directing according to the examples of creative collaboration in his productions and clarify its principles. During his active directing career in Dramatic Studio, Jiri Pokorny became widely known within Czech dramatic context as a playwright. Therefore, his dramatic work is reflected here as well, specifically in three of his plays: Dad Scores Goals, Rest in Peace and Denis. The last part of the thesis concentrates on Pokornys theoretical ideas about contemporary drama and theatre published in various scholarly journals. Jiri Pokorny currently works as director in Theatre on the Balustrade and is one of the most original theatre artists of contemporary Czech theatre.
