Families with a Child with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the Learning Process

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá rodinami s dětmi s poruchami autistického spektra ve vzdělávacím procesu. Respondenty příběhu jsou rodiče čtyř chlapců, jenž trpí různými formani tohoto postižení. Text nabízí osobní pohled na přístup k dětem s poruchami autistického spektra ve vzdělávacím systému. Rozvržení diplomové práce nevychází z tradičního dělení na část teoretickou a část empirickou, ale praktické pasáže se prolínají s teoretickými zjištěními z odborné literatury. Pro praktickou část, tedy oblast výzkumného úkolu byl zvolen kvalitativní design, konkrétně narativní rozhovory, v němž respondenti spontánně vyprávějí svůj životní příběh. Cílem je zjištění, jak rodiny s dětmi s poruchou autistického spektra subjektivně hodnotí svoji roli a pozici ve vzdělávacím systému. Z výstupů je patrné, že pro rodiče jsou stěžejní témata přístupu učitelů, asistentů pedagoga, vedení školy a budoucnosti jejich dětí.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with families with children with autism spectrum disorders in the educational process. The actors of the story are the parents of the four boys, who suffer from the various forms of this disability. The text offers a personal view of access to children with autism spectrum disorders in the educational system. The layout of the thesis is not based on the traditional division into the theoretical part and the empirical part, but the practical passages mingle with the theoretical findings from the scientific literature. For the practical part, ie area of the research task, a qualitative design was chosen, specifically narrative interviews, in which respondents spontaneously tell their life story. The aim is to find out how families with children with autism spectrum disorder subjectively evaluate their role and position in the educational system. It is clear from the outcomes that the attitudes of teachers, teaching assistants, school management and the future of their children are the crucial topics for parents.
