Zoroastrism - Cultural-geographical Analysis

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se snaží přiblížit Zoroastrismus, jakožto jedno z nejstarších dosud existujících náboženství, které je ovšem i přes své stáří poměrně neznámé. Po první části, jež je zaměřena na obecné vysvětlení pojmu náboženství, bude ve druhé sekci explikována leckdy matoucí terminologie Zoroastrismu i spolu se základním popisem jeho věrouky, která bude dále podrobně rozvíjena v následující kapitole. Budou popsány jak základní principy zoroastrismu, božstvo, či rituály, tak působení proroka Zarathuštry, na jehož učení je zoroastrismus založen. Dále se dotkneme historického pozadí vývoje zoroastrismu a náboženských směrů, které ze zoroastrismu buďto přímo vzešly, nebo jím byly ovlivněny. Předposlední kapitola je věnována vzájemnému ovlivňování a vztahům zoroastrismu s jinými náboženstvími a kulturami, zejména pak hinduismem, judaismem, křesťanstvím a islámem. Nakonec bude zaměřeno na současné postavení zoroastristů v moderním světě. Vzhledem k nepříliš velkému povědomí většiny lidí světa o tomto starém, leč postupně skomírajícím náboženství, se pokusíme představit zoroastrismus v uceleném výkladu znázorňující tuto víru od svých prvopočátků až do současné éry.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis tries to approach the Zoroastrianism as one of the oldest, still existing religion, which is quite unknown despite of its age. The first part of the thesis focuses on the general explanation of the religion. In the second part the confusing terminology of Zoroastrianism will be explained together with the basic description of its dogma, which will be discussed in details in the next chapter. The basic principles of Zoroastrianism will be described as well as Gods, rituals and Zarathustra?s lore which the Zoroastrianism is based on. The thesis also touches the historical background of the Zoroastrianism development and other religions which were based on this lore or affected by that. One of the last chapters is focused oh the relationship between Zoroastrianism and other religions and cultures, mostly Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Finally the contemporary relation of Zoroastrians in the modern world will be discussed. The Zoroastrianism will be introduced in a comprehensive interpretation depicting this faith from the beginning to the present. Even though it is one of the oldest religions, it is slowly dying and people do not know much about it.
