Assessing the efficiency and return of investment intense

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je zhodnocení ekonomické efektivnosti a návratnosti investičních záměrů společnosti Energoforest s.r.o. s ohledem na způsob financování investičních záměrů a možná hrozící rizika. Pro splnění tohoto účelu jsou srovnány zvolené zdroje financování (úvěr a leasing) a jsou využity základní metody hodnocení efektivnosti a návratnosti investic. Především metody dynamické, u kterých je brán v úvahu faktor času. K nejdůležitějším ukazatelům hodnocení ekonomické efektivnosti a návratnosti slouží čistá současná hodnota, vnitřní výnosové procento a samotná doba návratnosti. Na závěr jsou identifikovaná možná rizika spojená s uskutečněním vybraných investičních záměrů a jejich dopad na celkovou efektivnost. Na základě zjištěných výsledků zhodnocení ekonomické efektivnosti a návratnosti jsou přiblížena doporučení pro výběr vhodnějšího záměru.

Abstract:

The main focus of the thesis is on evaluation of the economic effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) regarding the investment intentions of Energoforest Company Ltd. with respect to financing methods and possible risks which can appear during the process. To fulfill this purpose, the paper compares selected financial possibilities (credit and leasing) using the basic methods of effectiveness and ROI evaluation such as the dynamic method, which takes time factor into account. The most important indicators for assessing the economic efficiency and return are; net present value, internal rate of return and payback period. The last section of the analysis tries to evaluate the risks connected with different investment approaches and its impact on total investment effectiveness The best approach to investment, based on the previous evaluation, computations and associated risks, is then finally recommended as a "go-to" strategy.
