This bachelor thesis focuses on the figure of American history Harriet Tubman, a fugitive slave, abolitionist, and suffragist, and her representation in contemporary popular culture. From the perspective of her intersectionality, the thesis analyses the movie Harriet (2019) and using Clark’s model of minority representation focuses on the minorities Tubman represents.
