Scaffolding strategies in teaching and learning resources for civic education for lower secondary school

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Scaffoldingové strategie ve výukových materiálech používaných ve výchově k občanství na 2. stupni ZŠ je zaměřena na komparaci vybraných tištěných a digitálních učebnic. Cílem práce je realizovat empirické šetření zaměřené na identifikaci scaffoldingových strategií ve výukových materiálech ve výchově k občanství na 2. stupni ZŠ. Smyslem šetření je zjistit, zda a jak se případně liší tištěné a digitální učebnice z hlediska podpory žáků, konkrétně z hlediska potenciálních scaffoldingových prvků, jenž se v učebnicích vyskytují. Z dosažených výsledků vyplývá, že digitální forma učebnic nemá významnější vliv z hlediska podpory učení žákyň a žáků. Učební úlohy v digitálních učebnicích nevykazují vyšší míru zastoupení scaffoldingových prvků než učební úlohy v učebnicích tištěných.

Abstract:

The thesis entitled Scaffolding strategies in teaching and learning resources for civic education for lower secondary school focuses on the comparison of selected printed and digital textbooks. The aim of the thesis is to realize an empirical survey focused on the identification of scaffolding strategies in the teaching and learning resources for civic education for lower secondary school. The purpose of the survey is to find out whether and how the printed and digital textbooks differ from a pupil support point of view, specifically from the point of view of the potential design elements in the textbooks. The results show that the digital form of textbooks does not have a significant impact in terms of supporting the learning of pupils. Teaching tasks in digital textbooks do not show a higher degree of representation of scaffolding elements than learning tasks in printed textbooks.
