The Evaluation of Selected Items of the Balance Sheet in the Service Business - the Accounting and Tax Perspective

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na hodnocení dlouhodobého majetku z účetního a daňového pohledu. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části je na základě literární rešerše, zákona o účetnictví a zákona o daních vymezen dlouhodobý majetek z účetního i daňového pohledu a také způsoby jeho odpisování. Praktická část obsahuje představení vybraného podniku, charakteristiku jeho majetku a odpisy konkrétních druhů majetku. V další části praktické práce jsou mezi sebou účetní a daňové odpisy majetku porovnány a je zhodnoceno, který způsob odpisování je výhodnější. V poslední části je provedena komparace jednotlivých způsobů odpisování a je zjištěna velikost daňové úspory.

Abstract:

This Bachelor thesis focuses on evaluating fixed assets from an accounting and tax perspective. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, fixed assets are defined from both accounting and tax perspectives, as well as how they are depreciated, based on literary research, the Accounting Act, and the Tax Act. The practical part includes the presentation of the selected company, the characteristics of its assets, and the depreciation of specific types of assets. In the next part, the accounting and tax depreciation of assets are compared with each other, and it is assessed which method of depreciation is preferable. In the last section, there is a comparison of the various depreciation methods, and the amount of tax savings is determined.
