Emotional intelligence of preschool-age children

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Emoční inteligence dětí předškolního věku“ pojednává o rozvoji emoční inteligence u dětí předškolního věku. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak pomoci dětem lépe pochopit a zvládat jejich emoce a jak s emocemi pracovat v mateřské škole. Teoretická část práce se věnuje charakteristice pojmu emoce a emoční inteligence z psychologického hlediska. Další část se věnuje charakteristice předškolního období a jeho významu. Dále se také práce zaměřuje na rozdělení, vlastnosti a funkce emocí. V práci je také zmíněn vývoj emocí v raném věku a vliv prostředí na emoční vývoj dítěte. Praktická část je věnována projektu, který je zaměřen na rozvoj emoční inteligence u dětí. Dále je práce zaměřena na práci s emocemi v konkrétních mateřských školách, kde je použita metoda pozorování. Závěr práce je věnován shrnutí poznatků z práce s projektem a porovnání těchto informací s teoretickými znalostmi.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis "Emotional intelligence of preschool-age children" deals with the development of emotional intelligence in preschool-age children. The aim of the thesis is to find out how to help children better understand and manage their emotions and how to work with emotions in kindergarten. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the characteristics of the concept of emotions and emotional intelligence from a psychological point of view. The next part is devoted to the characteristics of the preschool period and its importance. Furthermore, the thesis also focuses on the division, characteristics and functions of emotions. The development of emotions at an early age and the influence of the environment on the emotional development of the child are also mentioned in the thesis. The practical part is devoted to a project that focuses on the development of emotional intelligence in children. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on the work with emotions in specific kindergartens where the method of observation is used. The conclusion of the thesis is devoted to a summary of the findings from the work with the project and a comparison of this information with the theoretical knowledge.
