The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of vascular access devices, specifically PICC and Midline catheters, their use, nursing care and complications. The thesis searched for the procedures and errors related to nursing care of these devices and evaluated the contribution of PICC teams into clinical practice, based on a literature review. Diplomová práca je zameraná na problematiku cievnych vstupov konkrétne PICC a Midline katétrov, ich využitím, ošetrovateľskou starostlivosťou a komplikáciami. Pomocou literárnej rešerše vyhľadávala ošetrovateľské postupy a chyby v ošetrovaní týchto vstupov a vyhodnocovala prínos PICC tímov pre klinickú prax.
