Burnout syndrome, job satisfaction and life satisfaction among working population

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the research of the relationships between burnout syndrome, job satisfaction and life satisfaction and exploration of the influence of the type of working time and work from home on the score of the examined variables on a sample of the population from Czech Republic and Slovakia. The theoretical part deals with the concept of burnout syndrome, its negative consequences, preventive measures, the factors that affects it and the concepts of job satisfaction and life satisfaction and their factors. The demographic questionnaire, the Burnout Questionnaire for General use, the Job Satisfaction Scale, and the Life Satisfaction Scale were used to test hypotheses and answer the research questions. The results confirmed the existence of relationships between burnout, job satisfaction and life satisfaction. The analysis confirmed significant differences in job satisfaction scores depending on working hours and the possibility to work from home and life satisfaction scores depending on the possibility to work from home.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa venuje výskumu vzťahov syndrómu vyhorenia, pracovnej spokojnosti a životnej spokojnosti a zisteniu vplyvu typu pracovnej doby a práce z domu na skóre skúmaných premenných na vzorke pochádzajúcej z populácie Českej republiky a Slovenska. Teoretická časť sa zaoberá konceptom syndrómu vyhorenia, jeho negatívnymi dôsledkami, preventívnymi opatreniami, faktormi, ktoré ho ovplyvňujú a konceptami pracovnej spokojnosti a životnej spokojnosti a ich faktorom. Na otestovanie hypotéz a zodpovedanie výskumných otázok boli použité demografický dotazník, Dotazník syndrómu vyhorenia pre všeobecné použitie, Škála pracovnej spokojnosti a Škála životnej spokojnosti. Výsledky potvrdili existenciu vzťahov medzi syndrómom vyhorenia, pracovnou spokojnosťou a životnou spokojnosťou. Analýza potvrdila signifikantné rozdiely v skóre pracovnej spokojnosti v závislosti od pracovnej doby a možnosti pracovať z domu a v skóre životnej spokojnosti v závislosti od možnosti pracovať z domu.
