Cílem této diplomové práce je porovnání metod odhadů parametrů Paretova rozdělení. V teoretické části se čtenář seznamuje s různými metodami odhadu, s Paretovým rozdělením a také obecně s problematikou rozdělení s těžkými konci. The aim of this final thesis is comparison between estimation methods of Pareto distribution parameters. In the theoretical part, the reader is introduced to different estimation methods, to the Pareto distribution and as well as fat tailed distributions in general and their associated issues.
