Evolution of attitudes and views of Václav Havel since Charta 77 till November 1989 to the background of his essayistic autorship

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce sleduje vývoj postojů a názorů Václava Havla v období od Charty 77 do listopadu 1989, a to na pozadí výkladu vybraných titulů jeho esejistické tvorby. Práce se pokouší vyložit osobnost Václava Havla prostřednictvím jeho názorů na politiku a společnost. Bakalářská práce se věnuje Chartě 77 ve smyslu jednoho z prvních mezníků politické činnosti V. Havla. Dále se práce zabývá V. Havlem jako spoluzakladatelem Výboru na obranu nespravedlivě stíhaných. Dalším bodem, kterému se práce věnuje, je soudní pronásledování a uvězněním Václava Havla za jeho občanské postoje, kdy se oprávněně stal symbolem a uznávanou morální autoritou. Další část práce je věnována jeho esejistické tvorbě a srovnání námětů vybraných esejů - Moci bezmocných, O smyslu Charty 77, Příběhu a totalitě. U těchto esejů jde o rozbor a vystižení hlavních Havlových myšlenek, postojů a názorů.

Abstract:

Thebachelor´s thesis focuses on thedevelopment of VaclavHavel´sattitudes and opinions in the period since Charter 77 untilNovember 1989, on the background of chosentittlesor on the background of his essayisticproduction. The thesis istrying to interpret VaclavHavel´s personality through his opinions on politics and society. Thebachelor´s thesis focuses on Charter 77 in thesense of one of thefirstmilestones in VaclavHavel´spoliticalactivity. Furthermorethe thesis dealswith V. Havel as withthecofounder of theCommitteeforthe Defense of theUnjustlyProsecuted. Thenext point, whichthebachelor´s thesis dealswith, isthejudicialpersecution and imprisonment of Vaclav Havel for his civil approaches, when he rightfullybecame a symbol and appreciatedmoralauthority. Next part isdedicated to his essayisticproduction and to thecomparison of chosenessayistictopics- ThePower of thePowerless, On theMeaning of Charter 77, Stories and Totalitarianism. These essays are aboutanalysis and capturing Havel´sthoughts, attitudes and opinions.
