Consumer behaviour of generation Y in culinary tourism of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá spotřebitelským chováním generace Y v gastroturismu České republiky. Hlavním cílem je zanalyzovat a identifikovat spotřebitelské chování a preference generace Y. Vedlejším cílem je vyhodnocení pravdivosti stanovených předpokladů, ty se zaměřují na vztah generace Y ke gastronomii a gastroturismu a využívání sociálních sítí. Předpoklady dále sledují, zda má tato generace potenciál pro vývoj gastroturismu. Teoretická část definuje cestovní ruch, gastroturismus, popisuje nabídku služeb v gastroturismu, popisuje jeho typického účastníka a poskytuje přehled gastronomie a gastroturismu České republiky. Spotřebitelské chování je dalším teoretickým východiskem, bakalářská práce identifikuje jeho modely a faktory, které ho ovlivňují. Cílem poslední kapitoly teoretické části je pochopit a popsat chování a myšlení generace Y. Praktická část se zabývá vlastním výzkumem, k získání dostatečně velkého vzorku respondentů, bylo použito dotazníkové šetření. Na základě výsledků z praktické části bylo popsáno spotřebitelské chování generace Y při účasti na gastroturismu České republiky a byly vyhodnoceny předem stanové předpoklady.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the consumer behaviour of generation Y in culinary tourism of the Czech Republic. The main goal is to analyse and determine consumer behaviour and the preferences of generation Y. The secondary goal is to evaluate the veracity of the set assumptions, which focus on the relationship of generation Y to gastronomy and culinary tourism and the use of social networks. The assumptions further monitor whether this generation has the potential for the development of this type of tourism. The theoretical part defines tourism, culinary tourism, describes the offer of services of culinary tourism, describes its typical participant and provides an overview of gastronomy and culinary tourism in the Czech Republic. Consumer behaviour is another theoretical basis, the bachelor thesis identifies its models and factors that affect it. The aim of the last theoretical chapter is to understand and describe the behaviour and thought of generation Y. The practical part deals with own research, questionnaire survey was used to obtain a sufficiently large sample of respondents. Based on the results from the practical part, the consumer behaviour of generation Y in culinary tourism of the Czech Republic was described and the set assumptions were evaluated.
