Family foster care from the point of view of professionals and the public

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá příbuzenskou pěstounskou péčí, a to z pohledu odborníků a široké veřejnosti. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí - teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část obsahuje vymezení příbuzenské pěstounské péče, a to včetně příčin, kvůli kterým k této péči dochází, motivaci, procesu adaptace, příbuzenské pěstounské péči ve světě a taktéž výzkumům, které se touto formou péče o dítě zabývají. Dále je v teoretické části obsažena kapitola věnující se specifikám pěstounů podle typu příbuzenství a kapitola popisující výhody a rizika příbuzenské pěstounské péče a to opět i z pohledu jejich aktérů. V neposlední řadě obsahuje teoretická část kapitoly věnující se problémům v praxi a formám služeb a pomoci, které jsou příbuzenských pěstounům nabízeny. Praktická část diplomové práce je zaměřena na kvantitativní výzkum, jenž se zabývá příbuzenskou pěstounskou péči, a to z pohledu jak odborníků, tak i široké veřejnosti, a to včetně porovnání výsledků těchto dvou skupin respondentů.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with family foster care and this from the view of professionals and the broad public. The thesis is divided into two parts- theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains the delimitation of relational foster care and this including the reasons that this type of child care comes into option, the motivation, the process of adaptation, familial foster care in the world and also researches that are involved with this type of child care. A chapter in the theoretical part of devoted to the specifics of foster care by the type of family relations and a chapter paying attention to the pros and risks of familial foster care including the opinions of those who have experienced this type of child care. At last, a chapter that is dedicated to the problems in practice and the types of services and help those relational foster parents are offered. The practical part is composed of a quantitative research about familial foster care, this coming from the view of professionals and the broad public, this with the comparison of the results from these two groups.
