Li-ion battery pack for electric scooter

Abstract:

Diplomová práce "Li-ion akumulátorový pack pro elektrický skútr" rozebírá problematiku baterií používaných k pohonu elektrických vozidel. Zabývá se nutností ochrany moderních akumulátorů před nepříznivými provozními stavy a dopady nevhodných podmínek, v nichž se akumulátory provozují. Vnáší také základní pohled na nabídku na trhu elektrických vozidel, tzn. elektrických koloběžek, kol, skútrů, elektromobilů, apod.. Ve vztahu ke konkrétnímu elektrickému vozidlu je v práci navržen, vyroben a zprovozněn nový zdroj, který demonstruje možnosti zlepšení parametrů sériově vyráběných strojů. K samotné baterii je v práci popsán vývoj, kompletace a oživení příslušných ochranných a balančních obvodů. Celkové výsledky práce jsou shrnuty při měření nabíjení a vybíjení na kompletně sestavené baterii se zapojenými ochrannými a balančními obvody.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis called "Li-ion accumulator pack for electric scooter" examines the topic of batteries used in electric vehicles. It focuses on the necessity of protecting modern accumulators from unfavourable operating state and impacts of unsuitable conditions. Moreover, it briefly introduces the view of electric vehicles supply, including bicycles, scooters, electric cars, and others. In view of a particular electric vehicle, the author has designed, manufactured and put into operation a new battery pack, which demonstrates the possibilities of mass-produced machines specifications improvement. Also, the work describes the developing, assembling and running of corresponding safety and balance circuits. The overall results of the thesis are summarized due to taking measurements of the completely assembled battery being charged and discharged with the protective and balance circuits on.
