The importance of diversity management for corporate practice

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá připraveností vybraného podniku na implementaci politiky managementu diversity. Cílem bylo tento proces vyhodnotit a stanovit priority, na základě kterých se zavádí diversity management do podnikové praxe. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části byl determinován přehled řešené problematiky z pohledu domácích i zahraničních autorů. Praktická část byla zaměřena na zvolený podnik, aktuální politiku podniku zaměřenou na rozmanitost prostřednictvím rozhovoru s personalistkou podniku a současně zjišťuje názory zaměstnanců podniku na aktuální situaci týkající se podstaty managementu rozmanitosti. Ve sledovaném podniku bylo prokázáno nedostatečně ošetřované prostředí pro efektivně fungující politiku rozmanitosti, přesto se prokázalo, že zaměstnanci jsou vzhledem ke svému přesvědčení o principech rozmanitosti na implementaci politiky rozmanitosti připraveni.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the readiness of a selected company to implement a diversity management policy. The aim was to evaluate this process and set priorities on the basis of which diversity management is introduced into business practice. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, an overview of the issues addressed from the perspective of domestic and foreign authors was determined. The practical part was focused on the selected company, in which it identifies the current policy of the company focused on diversity through an interview with the company's personnel and at the same time finds out the opinions of company employees on the current situation regarding the nature of diversity management. In the monitored company, an insufficiently treated environment for an effectively functioning diversity policy was demonstrated, nevertheless it was proved that employees are ready for the implementation of the diversity policy due to their belief in the principles of diversity.
