Development of the EU single market and its future directions

Abstract:

Více než třicet let je vnitřní trh hlavním ekonomickým přínosem Evropské unie. Bylo dosaženo významného pokroku v oblasti rozšiřování legislativních pravomocí EU v hospodářském prostoru EU. Přestože se podařilo odstranit mnoho bariér a nastolila se společná pravidla, je vnitřní trh stále považován za nedokončený a zůstává mnoho překážek pro uplatnění volného pohybu zboží, osob, služeb a kapitálu. K tomu se přidávají další výzvy v podobě rozvoje informačních technologií či internetového podnikání.Účelem této práce je definovat jednotný evropský trh, najít nejvýznamější kroky v legislativě EU směrem k integraci vnitřního trhu a také se zaměřit na oblasti, kde jsou nejvýraznější nedostatky a porovnat je s legislativními návrhy připarvovanými ze strany evropských orgánů.

Abstract:

More than thirty years is the European Single market the core business centre of the European Union. Significant improvements have been achieved in widening the economic proceses covered by EU law and deepening the acquis to fill existing gaps in integration in areas that were already covered by Eropean legislation. Although many barriers have been removed and common rules have been established, the internal market is still considered as unfinished and many barriers of free movement of goods, persons, services and capital remain. Furtheremore, new challenges as information technology and online business are coming.The purpose of this thesis is to define European Single market, review the most important developments in EU legislation, find the areas where gaps are more important and discuss the new legislation for a more integrated Single market.
