Historical Development of Social Life in Hrušovany u Brna from the Second Half of the 19th Century to 1945

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o historickém vývoji společenského života v obci Hrušovany u Brna. Práce je zaměřena na 2. polovinu 19. století až do roku 1945. Nejprve se věnuje historickému vývoji obce od jejich počátků až po 2. světovou válku. Dále se zabývá politickou situací v obci, nejen volbami, ale i samotnými volebními orgány a provádí jejich stručnou charakteristiku. Neopomíjí ani starosty, kteří byli významní v daném období. Seznamuje čtenáře se stavem místního hospodářství, řemesly, službami a historií cukerní rafinerie. Dále nastiňuje problematiku jednotlivých spolků, které významně ovlivnily společenské dění v obci. Pozornost věnuje i místní škole, která se podílela na rozvoji vzdělanosti v obci. Na úplný závěr pojednává o místní kultuře a slavnostech, které jsou nositeli místních tradic.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the evolution of the social life in the village of Hrušovany u Brna. It is focused on the period from the second half of the ninetieth century to 1945. At first, it describes the historical evolution of the village from its beginnings to the Second World War. Then, it focuses on the political situation, not only on the elections, but also on the seats voted and it contains their brief description. Important mayors are mentioned as well. One of the parts of the thesis deals with the economy, crafts, services and the history of sugar refinery in the village. Another part focuses on societies that influenced the social life of the village. The thesis mentions the local school that influenced the level of education of the inhabitants. Its final part deals with the local festivals that are related to local traditions.
