Tato magisterská diplomová práce se zabývá teorií a praxí překládání, přičemž je hlavní důraz kladen na problematiku ekvivalence. Na začátku jsou vysvětleny pojmy z translatologie, dále je objasněn proces překládání. Další kapitoly se věnují překladateli – jeho osobnosti, úkolům a pomůckám, které používá při své činnosti.
