Defamation of republic and president in Hlučín Region during the years 1923 - 1938.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o problematice zákona na ochranu republiky se zaměřením na Hlučínsko v letech 1923-1938. Cílem práce je seznámit zájemce o tuto problematiku s historií regionu Hlučínska a jeho spojitostí se zákonem na ochranu republiky, který byl vydán Národním shromáţděním 19. března 1923. Práce v úvodní kapitole popisuje stručně historii Hlučínska od středověku aţ do roku 1938, kdy byla oblast důsledkem Mnichovské dohody připojena k Německu. Druhá kapitola popisuje okolnosti vzniku a přijetí zákona na ochranu republiky. Poslední obsáhlá kapitola se věnuje praktické části. V té jsou popsány trestní delikty, které byly ve sledovaném období na Hlučínsku spáchány proti dvěma paragrafům zákona na ochranu republiky. Konkrétně se jedná o paragrafy 11 a 14, kdy první postihoval uráţku prezidenta a druhý rušení obecného míru a hanobení republiky.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the problematics of the Act for the Protection of the Republic with specialization in Hlučín region during years 1923-1938. The aim of this work is to familiarize this problematic to the interested in this topic about the history of Hlučín region and its connections with the Act for the Protection of the Republic, published by National Assembly 19th March 1923. The introductory chapter briefly describes history of Hlučín region from the Middle Ages till year 1938, when the region was proclaimed to be a part of Germany in consequence of Munich Agreement. The second chapter describes the circumstances of establishment and admission of the Act for the Protection of the Republic. The last chapter engages in practical part. It includes criminal offences, perpetrated against the two paragraphs of the Act for the Protection of the Republic, which were committed in Hlučín region during the monitored period of time. Namely it concerns paragraphs 11 and 14, in which the first prosecuted offence of the president and the second treated disturbance of general peace and defamation of republic.
