Abstract:

Cílem této práce je zjistit, jaké jsou nároky na výslovnost nerodilých mluvčích a jakých chyb se dopouštějí ve výslovnosti při komunikaci v angličtině v obchodní sféře. Dalším cílem je zjistit, zda tyto chyby nějak ovlivňují srozumitelnost projevu. V teoretické části jsou nastíněny klasifikace a rozdíly mezi českými a anglickými samohláskami a souhláskami. Dále jsou ve stručnosti zmíněny suprasegmantální prvky projevu. V další části je zmíněno, jak je výslovnost důležitá a jaké jsou nároky na výslovnost. V poslední části teoretické části jsou nastíněny chyby, kterých se dopouštějí Češi při anglické konverzaci. V praktické části je představeno, za jakých okolností byla nahrávka pořízena a poté samotná analýza výsledků nahrávky. Druhá část praktické části se skládá z názoru nerodilého mluvčího na nahrávku a dále pak názorů rodilých mluvčích na samotnou nahrávku a zda je nějak ovlivněna srozumitelnost mluvčího jeho chybami ve výslovnosti.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to find out, which are the expectations for the pronunciation of non-native speakers and which mispronunciations they commit during the communication in business context. Another aim is to find out, whether these mistakes influence the comprehensibility of the speech. In the theoretical part, classification of English and Czech vowels and consonants are mentioned and differences between them are explained. Later, suprasegmental aspects of the speech are mentioned. Another part consists of the importance of pronunciation and what are the expectations. In the last part of the theoretical part, the mistakes which Czechs commit during the speech are mentioned. In practical part, the recording and the circumstances for recording are introduced. Then, the results are analysed. The second part of the practical part consists of opinions of native speakers on the recording itself and are asked, whether the comprehensibility o the speaker is influenced by the mistakes.
