Application of selected methods of financial analysis based on an example of a specific company

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je zhodnotit finanční zdraví vybrané společnosti na základě použití vybraných metod finanční analýzy a porovnání s konkurenční společností. V teoretické části práce je vysvětlena podstata a vybrané metody finanční analýzy. Teoretická část čerpá informace z odborné literatury. V praktické části je pomocí metod finanční analýzy hodnoceno finanční zdraví společnosti CHATEAU VALTICE - Vinné sklepy Valtice, a.s. v letech 2017-2021. Pro vyhodnocení jsou použity absolutní ukazatele, poměrová analýza, bonitní a bankrotní modely a ekonomický normál. K tomu jsou využity informace z výročních zpráv společnosti. Na základě provedené finanční analýzy lze finanční zdraví společnosti hodnotit jako uspokojivé. Finanční stabilitu zajišťuje především konzervativní finanční politika. Společnosti je v následujících letech doporučeno zvýšit svůj odbyt, upravit dobu obratu pohledávek a závazků a v době snížení úrokových sazeb zapojit více cizích zdrojů do kapitálové struktury.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate the financial health of the selected company based on the use of selected methods of financial analysis and comparison with competitor company. The theoretical part of the thesis explains the essence and selected methods of financial analysis. The theoretical part draws information from the specialist literature. In the practical part, the financial health of the company CHATEAU VALTICE - Vinné sklepy Valtice, a.s. in the years 2017-2021 is evaluated using financial analysis methods. Absolute ratios, ratio analysis, creditworthy and bankruptcy models and economic normal are used for the evaluation. For this purpose, information from the company’s annual reports is used. Based on the financial analysis, the financial health of the company can be assessed as satisfactory. Financial stability is mainly ensured by a conservative financial policy. The company is advised to increase its sales in the coming years, adjust the turnaround time of receivables and payables, and incorporate more foreign funds into the capital structure at a time of lower interest rates.
