The consumer protection of the grocery shopping

Abstract:

Hlavní úlohou ochrany spotřebitele je chránit zájmy spotřebitele jakožto slabšího článku ve vztahu s prodávajícím či výrobcem. Aby však spotřebitel mohl být efektivně chráněn, je nezbytné, aby svá práva dobře znal, uměl je aplikovat a mohl tak při nákupu činit kvalifikovaná rozhodnutí. Jedním z cílů této práce je proto představit právní předpisy upravující práva spotřebitelů a povinnosti prodejců v oblasti potravin. Práce se podrobněji věnuje požadavkům na označování obalů potravin, upozorňuje čtenáře na nejčastější klamavé praktiky a v neposlední řadě seznamuje spotřebitele s možnostmi reklamace potravin.

Abstract:

The main purpose of the consumer protection is to protect the consumer as a weaker partner of the business relationship with the seller or the producer. However, to effectively protect the consumers, it is vital for the consumers to know their rights, implications and consequently make qualified decisions while shopping. Among the objectives of this project is to introduce legislation concerning the rights of the consumers and the obligations of the sellers in the field of groceries. The project is describing in a detail the requirements of the labelling, the most common deceiving business tricks and also shows to the consumer possible options of valid grocery reclamation.
