Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá fenomén spojení 3D a 2D animace, což reflektuje aktuální trend ve vizuálním umění, kde 3D animace začíná inkorporovat prvky 2D. Tato integrace reaguje na rostoucí zájem o vizuálně rozmanitější a originální formy animace, které se odlišují od dlouhodobě dominantního stylu velkých animačních studií, jako je Pixar. Cílem bylo nejen vytvořit koherentní vizuální styl, který spojuje typické vizuální prvky retro anime a futuristické motivy kyberpunku v rámci 3D animace, ale také demonstrovat metodu integrace 3D a 2D animace. V teoretické části poskytuje práce přehled historie a technik 2D a 3D animace, detailně rozebírá žánry retro anime a kyberpunku, a zkoumá jejich propojení v širším kulturním kontextu. Dále se věnuje současným nástrojům a technikám, které umožňují 3D animaci vizuálně přiblížit k 2D, jak tato integrace ovlivňuje vyprávění příběhů. Praktická část se zaměřuje na vývoj 3D animačního projektu, který se snaží o reprodukci estetiky retro anime v kyberpunkovém prostředí, a demonstruje specifické techniky a kreativní řešení problémů vyžadované pro tento unikátní stylistický spoj. Detailně popisuje 3D modelování, osvětlení, a animační techniky přizpůsobené specifikům žánru. Práce poskytuje náhled na postup vývoje, včetně důvodů pro výběr určitých technik a metod, které byly použity pro dosažení požadovaného výsledku. Nabízí tak praktické znalosti a inspiraci pro studenty a profesionály v oblasti animace a podporuje další rozvoj dovedností a inovací v tomto oboru.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis explores the phenomenon of the combination of 3D and 2D animation, reflecting the current trend in the visual art where 3D animation is beginning to incorporate 2D elements. This integration responds to a growing interest in more visually diverse and original forms of animation that differ from the long-dominant style of major animation studios such as Pixar. The objective was not only to create a coherent visual style that combines typical visual elements of retro anime and futuristic cyberpunk themes within 3D animation, but also to demonstrate a method of integrating 3D and 2D animation. In the theoretical part, the thesis provides an overview of the history and techniques of 2D and 3D animation, discusses in detail the genres of retro anime and cyberpunk, and explores their interconnections within a broader cultural context. It also discusses current tools and techniques that allow 3D animation to visually resemble 2D, and how this integration affects storytelling. The practical part focuses on the development of a 3D animation project that seeks to reproduce the aesthetics of retro anime in a cyberpunk environment, and demonstrates the specific techniques and creative problem solving required for this unique stylistic blend. It describes in detail the 3D modeling, lighting, and animation techniques tailored to the specifics of the genre. The work provides insight into the development process, including the rationale for selecting certain techniques and methods that were used to achieve the desired result. In doing so, it offers practical knowledge and inspiration for students and professionals in the field of animation and encourages further skill development and innovation in the field.
