Examination of mitochondrial DNA in ancient populations
Abstract:
Vlastnosti mitochondriální DNA jsou velmi vhodné pro rekonstrukci historie našeho druhu. Díky mtDNA bylo možné zmapovat migrační historii a vytvořit mapu haploskupin. Analýzou haploskupin bylo určeno místo a doba vzniku našeho druhu. mtDNA byla také využita při snaze odhalit vztah mezi moderními lidmi a Neandertálci.
Abstract:
The features of mitochondrial DNA are very well suited for reconstruction of our species history. Thanks to mtDNA it was possible to map migration history and to create haplogroups map. The place of our species origin was determined by the haplogroups analysis. mtDNA was also used in order to reveal the relationship between modern humans and the Neanderthals.
