Human trafficking in the EU: analysis of countermeasures.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje analýze politiky EU boje proti obchodování s lidmi. V teoretické části nejprve vytváří teoretický přehled příčin obchodu s lidmi a z něho dále odvozuje koncept efektivního postupu proti tomuto fenoménu. Výstupy politiky EU jsou následně analyzovány optikou vytvořeného teoretického konceptu. Práce si klade za cíl zhodnotit politiku EU boje proti obchodu s lidmi na základě souladu s konceptem efektivního postupu. V rámci hodnocení je sledováno naplňování jednotlivých kategorií tohoto konceptu. V závěru práce autor předkládá doporučení, na jaké další faktory by se měla EU v boji proti obchodu s lidmi zaměřit, aby se více přiblížila teoretickému konceptu efektivního postupu. Výzkumným přístupem práce je policy analysis zaměřená dominantně na obsahovou složku politiky, představuje však také její institucionální ukotvení.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis analyzes the EU anti-trafficking policy. In the theoretical section, an overview of existing factors feeding the phenomenon of human trafficking is presented, and consecutively a concept of effective combat is developed. EU policy outcomes are analyzed under the optics of the composed theoretical concept. The thesis strives to evaluate the EU anti-trafficking policy through examining its correspondence with the effective intervention concept. In the evaluation process different categories of this concept are examined and we watch closely if they are actually implemented. In conclusion, the author suggests certain recommendations about all factors that should be taken into account in the EU anti-trafficking policy in order to advance to the theoretical effective combat concept. Policy analysis is the research approach in the thesis and it focuses predominantly on the content of the policy, however, institutional basis and fundamentals are presented as well.
