Humanitarian Aid and Selection of Non-profit Organizations in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu humanitární pomoci. Je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části je nastíněna problematika humanitární prostřednictvím odborného výkladu a popisu. Data sloužící k objasnění problematiky jsou čerpány z odborných publikací a knih. Charakterizují humanitární pomoc, nastiňují její vývoj. Dále předkládá přehled právních norem vztahující se k dané problematice a také konkrétní organizace působící v České republice. V úvodu praktické části se práce zaměřuje na stručný popis katastrofické události, konkrétně se jedná o tornádo, které se objevilo na jižní Moravě v roce 2021. Následuje komparace humanitární pomoci jednotlivých organizací. V poslední části je pak formou dotazníku zjišťována efektivita a celková spokojenost s poskytnutými finančními a materiálními prostředky a následně je navrhnut optimální postup poskytnutí pomoci.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis is devoted to the topic of humanitarian aid. It is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, humanitarian issues are outlined through expert interpretation and description. Data used to clarify the issue are drawn from professional publications and books. They characterize humanitarian aid, outline its development. It also presents an overview of legal norms related to the given issue as well as specific organizations operating in the Czech Republic. In the introduction to the practical part, the work focuses on a brief description of the catastrophic event, namely a tornado that appeared in South Moravia in 2021. This is followed by a comparison of the humanitarian aid of individual organizations. In the last part, the effectiveness and overall satisfaction with the provided financial and material resources is ascertained in the form of a questionnaire, and then the optimal procedure for providing assistance is proposed.
