The group integration of disabled pupils in Bohumín

Abstract:

Cílem mého výzkumu bylo analyzovat proces integrace žáků po zrušení Zvláštní školy a Pomocné školy Bohumín do běžných základních škol a zjistit, zda tato forma integrace byla správnou cestou. Ke zjištění názorů dětí i učitelů jsem vypracovala dva druhy dotazníku, jeden určený dětem a druhý určený učitelům. Analyzovala jsem průběh procesu a porovnávala názory skupinově integrovaných a individuálně integrovaných dětí, a také jejich vyučujících mezi sebou. Výsledky výzkumu potvrdily mnou stanovené hypotézy pouze z části. Nedostatek financí, související např. s absencí dostačujícího počtu asistentů pedagoga, kompenzačních pomůcek, velký počet dětí v třídách individuálně integrovaných s mentálně postiženým dítětem vedou ke značnému skepticismu ze strany učitelů vůči budoucnosti celého procesu. Převládá názor, že mentálně handicapované děti mají být integrovány pouze skupinově, kdežto individuální integrace děti s tělesným či smyslovým postižením se mají integrovat individuálně.

Abstract:

The target of my project was to analyze the integration process of the pupils of special schools to common elementary schools after the cancellation of the Special and the Assistant school in Bohumín. The target was to find out if the selected way of the integration was successful. To learn the opinions of both children and teachers I created two styles of question lists, one for children and the other for teachers. I analyzed the process and compared the opinions of the integrated children in the group and the children indegrated individually as well as the opinions of their teachers talking among themselves. The result of the research confirmed the defined hypothesis done by me only in one side. The financial shortage related to the absence of the sufficient numbers of the educator{\crq}s assistants, special educational needs and the big numbers of children in classrooms who are integrated with a mentally disturbed child leeds to a great scepticism from teachers points of view toward the future of the whole process. There is the prevailing opinion that the mentally disturbed children are supposed to be integrated only in a group, while the individual integration of the children with handicaps (physical, sensual) is supposed to be done in an individual way.
