From the roots to the branches and back - the documentary about african dance

Anotácia:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem sociálního dokumentu, který je k ní přiložen a jeho realizací. Tímto tématem je africký tanec v jeho současné podobě. V dokumentu procházím rozhovory s tanečnicemi z České republiky, guinejským organizátorem tanečních workshopů pro lidi z celého světa až po rozhovor s tanečnicí z vesnice v pralesní části Guiney. Tímto se snažím poukázat na propojenost lidí z různých koutů světa skrze umění a sílu afrického tance. Realizace dokumentu probíhala od února do října 2008. Tato teoretická část se skládá se ze dvou hlavních částí. V první části jsou představeny základní fakta o místu natáčení dokumentu – západoafrické Guineji - a údaje o africkém tanci. Druhá část práce popisuje jednotlivé fáze realizace dokumentu. Část preprodukce zahrnuje výběr a představení tématu, tvorbu námětu a scénáře, popis technického zajištění a časový plán. Produkce popisuje použité výrazové prostředky a průběh natáčení na různých místech. Závěrečná část – postprodukce – se pak skládá z tvorby střihové skladby.

Abstract:

This thesis is dealing with the theme of the social documentary film, which is added, and it´s realisation. This theme is the african dance today. The document contains the interwiewes with the dancers from the Czech republic, with the guinean organisator of dance workshops for people from all over the world and the interwiew with the dancer from the village in the forest part of Guiney. By this document I try to show the connection between the people from different parts of the world by the art and the power of african dance. The realisation of the film took from February to October 2008. This theoretic thesis is divided in two main chapters. In the first one the basic facts of the place of filming – the westafricain Guiney - and the information about african dance are introduced. In the second chapter I explore each step of realisaton of the documentary film. Phase of production contains the selection and the introduction of the theme, topic, scenario and describtion of technical stuff and the time plan of filming. Production refers about shooting the film itself and the final part – postproduction – explores the editaion of visual and acoustical section of composition.
