Design of a Business Intelligence solution for a banking company

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je analýza a Návrh Business Intelligence řešení pro bankovní společnost. Banka patří mezi banky univerzálního typu a je velkou mezinárodní společnosti s širokým portfolio služeb. Přínosem této práce je návrh Business Intelligence řešení pro oddělení Regulatory Reporting, jež umožňuje sledovat vývoj klíčových ukazatelů a usnadňovat proces rozhodování. V práci je uveden popis bankovní společnosti, definovaných požadavků a poskytnutých dat ze strany banky. V dalších částech budou představen návrh dimenzí a ukazatelů, dimenzionálního modelu, které budou součástí výsledného BI řešení.

Abstract:

The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is the analysis and proposal of a Business Intelligence solution for a banking company. The bank belongs to the universal banks and is a large international company with a wide portfolio of services. The benefit of this work is the design of a Business Intelligence solution for the Regulatory Reporting department, which allows monitoring the development of key indicators and facilitating the decision-making process. The thesis contains a description of the banking company, defined requirements and data provided by the bank. In the next parts, the design of dimensions and indicators, the dimensional model, which will be part of the resulting BI solution, will be presented.
