Ekonomické aspekty vzdělávacího systému v balkánských zemích

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na klasifikaci balkánských zemí na základě vybraných ukazatelů kvality vzdělávacího systému. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na vymezení vzdělávání jako podmínky ekonomického růstu a na popis současné situace na Balkáně. Jako vzdělávací vstupy byly použity vládní výdaje na vzdělávání a hrubé domácí výdaje na výzkum a vývoj. Pro vzdělávací výstupy byly použity výsledky PISA testů a podíl 30-34letých lidí s ukončeným terciárním nebo ekvivalentním vzděláním. Pomocí shlukové analýzy jsme dospěli k závěru, že Srbsko vykazuje výsledky podobné těm, které dosáhly sousední členské státy EU. Na druhé straně Rumunsko vykazuje velmi špatné výsledky z hlediska kvality vzdělávacího systému. Práce dále zkoumá závislost těchto ukazatelů na vládních výdajích na vzdělávání. Ukázalo se, že výsledky PISA testů ze čtení, vědy a matematiky, jakož i podíl těch, kteří dosahují nejlepších výsledků, jsou pozitivně korelovány s vládními výdaji na vzdělávání, zatímco podíl těch, kteří dosahují nízkých výsledků jsou negativně korelovány s vládními výdaji.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis focuses on classification of the Balkan countries based on selected indicators of the quality of the education system. The theoretical part focuses on defining education as a condition for economic growth and describing the current situation in the Balkans. Government expenditure on education and gross domestic spending on the research and development were used as the educational inputs. For educational outputs were taken the results of PISA testing and a proportion of the 30-34 year olds having completed tertiary or equivalent education. Using the cluster analysis, we came to the conclusion that Serbia shows results similar to those achieved by its neighboring EU Member States. On the other hand, Romania has shown very poor results in terms of quality of education system. Further on, thesis examined the dependence of the results of PISA testing on government expenditure on education. Results of PISA testing for reading, science and mathematics, as well as the share of top performers have been shown to be positively correlated with the government expenditure on education, while the share of low achievers has been shown to be negatively correlated.
